12 Must-See Oregon Destinations: John Day Fossil Beds

I also love the John Day Fossil Beds. They are close to the Painted Hills, another photographer’s hotspot. However, I love the geology, paleontology, and paleobotany occurring at the Thomas Condon Paleontology Center. If you have little kids or grandkids with you, the museum can be a great amusement.

  1. Love the John Day area, but sadly have always been on a tight schedule going through there. Will have to remedy that some day and make it the destination.
